
Tokyo is home to many video game pop up shops, limited events, and themed collaborations that are difficult to keep track of. I often talk about many of them on my podcast, Tokyo Game Life, but I wanted to create a page to highlight limited time gaming events in Tokyo. Square Enix Pop Up Store in Ikebukuro

Parco in Ikebukuro will host a Square Enix pop up shop featuring merch from their iconic game franchises like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Quest.

Hunter's Bar X Okami

Hunter's Bar, the Monster Hunter cafe in Akihabara, will have a special Okami themed menu to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary.

Mirai no Lemon Sour Bar with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Roppongi Hills will host a pop up bar themed after the Seventh Heaven bar from Final Fantasy VII to promote Rebirth's release on Switch 2. You can try Asahi's new lemon sour drink with real lemon slices inside.

PlayStation x GRAPHT Pop Up Store

Merch brand GRAPHT is hosting yet another PlayStation themed pop up shop, this time at JR Hachioji Station. It will feature merch from franchises like Ape Escape, Bloodborne, and Astro Bot.

Sonic the Hedgehog Pop Up Shop

Atre Ueno will hold a Sonic the Hedgehog pop up shop selling merchandise from the franchise.

Sega 65th The Limited Shop

Miyashita Park in Shibuya will be home to a Sega pop up shop celebrating the company's 65th anniversary. It will feature collabs with Japanese artists and merch from Sega's franchises, including obscure ones like Nights and Roommania #203.

Dragon Quest Dive

Tokyu Plaza in Harajuku will hold Dragon Quest Dive, a 40th anniversary exhibit celebrating the series. It will feature interactive exhibits like a VR ride, along with photo ops and exclusive merch.
